Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis fans, get ready to rock the vote. The Campaign, a silly and deceptively sly comedy directed by Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents), lets the two talented comedians do what they do best--be funny in ever more extreme ways.

The premise is simple: Will Ferrell plays Congressman Brady, a slick inside-the-Beltway political pro who's comfy in his position, but who's rubbed some of his rich North Carolina constituents the wrong way. Said rich guys decide to put up their own candidate, Marty Huggins, played by Galifianakis, who they hope will be their patsy--if he can just get elected. It's clear from the get-go that Marty is out of his league, and as he and the congressman try ever more outrageous stunts to upstage and undermine each other, the laughs are almost nonstop.

The chemistry between Farrell and Galifianakis is extraordinary and hilarious. The two practically run away with the whole film, which does a masterful job of skewering both political parties in a way that leaves everyone chuckling. The script by Chris Henchy and Shawn Harwell is well paced and plays up the sight-gag strengths of the two lead actors. Also impressive are Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, and John Lithgow as players with their own political agendas. But it's the two stars that make this Campaign one to watch from the front-row seat. --A.T. Hurley

When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of ultra-wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: na‹ve Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), director of the local Tourism Center. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the help of his new benefactors' support, he soon becomes a real contender. As election day closes in, the two are locked in a dead heat, with insults quickly escalating to injury until all they care about is burying each other in this mud-slinging, back-stabbing, home-wrecking comedy from Meet the Parents director Jay Roach.
